For decades fishing has been a story of decline, with severe overexploitation of fish stocks and low impact fishermen squeezed out of business by a minority of profiteering fishing barons.

Greenpeace Europe reached out to Free Range Studios to address this pressing issue and to help create a suite of stories, resources, engaging activities, and a grand call to action to put pressure on governments around the globe to begin placing restrictions on overfishing so that our oceans and possibly life as we know it isn't completely wiped out.

Mega Cats was a wild idea I had to tap into a younger audience than Greenpeace typically engages with to grab a larger audience’s attention to this pressing issue. Normally I don’t share creative that doesn't go prime time and sadly this wacky idea didn't make the cut and was a bit too irreverent for some folks. I still believe humor is a such a powerful tool to tap into truths in an exciting way and stretch beyond what most organizations do which is to simply point out the evils in the world.
